This piece is part of my Stormy Skies Series and shows a summer storm moving over rows of field corn. I painted it on a reclaimed board so the grain would run through the sky and the crops, giving it that natural, rustic texture. It feels like one of those quiet moments out in the Finger Lakes when the wind drops and you know the rain is on its way.
