This piece is part of my Stormy Skies Series and shows a patch of golden coneflowers standing out against a deep, moody and raining sky. I painted it on a vertical piece of salvaged wood so the grain could add to the movement in the clouds and meadow. This is quite literally about finding peace and joy in a dark place.
